Itinerary
Julley! Upon your arrival in Leh, the most fascinating destination you will ever experience, our local representative will meet you and take you to your pre-booked hotel in Leh. You may be asked to hand over a Xerox copy of your photo ID by our representative to apply for an inner line permit. After some rest, visit “The Hall of Fame” museum dedicated to the Indian Army, the iconic Leh palace, and the most famous site in Leh "Shanti Stupa". Before you call it a day, explore the local market buying souvenirs and feating on local foods. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Wake up early, grab your breakfast, and get ready for an adventure-filled day out. Our local representative will pick you up from the hotel and drive towards Nubra Valley. En route, you come across the highest motorable pass in the world, “Khardung La" situated at an altitude of 5,359 meters on the Ladakh mountain range that separates Nubra Valley from Leh. After spending a few minutes, descend towards the picturesque Nubra Valley. An optional stopover at North Pulu is offered for refreshment, and then visit the captivating “Diskit Monastery." Diskit Monastery is famous for the Maitreya Buddha, the tallest Buddha structure in Ladakh, and breathtaking views of Nubra Valley. Later in the evening, meet the most adorable creature of Nubra Valley, the “Bactrian Camel” simply known as “Double Hump Camel." Spend some leisure time on the sand dunes and later proceed towards the camp. Check into the camp and stay overnight.
After breakfast, check out and make your way to the scintillating Pangong Lake, located at an altitude of 4225 meters. The route to Pangong from Nubra Valley via Shok is less-traveled, rugged, and equally thrilling. After a grueling 4- to 5-hour drive, arrive at the Pangong Lake area. Check into your camps and capture the perfect moments and pictures. Dinner and stay overnight at the camps.
After breakfast, check out of your camp and proceed towards Leh via Changla Pass (5,360 m), the third highest motorable road in the world. En route, you will visit Thiksey Monastery, one of the largest and most impressive monasteries in Ladakh. Upon arrival in Leh, check into your hotel and stay overnight
After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to this incredible Highland. Our representative will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the airport for your onward journey.
